For Sale By Owner

FSBO

Many times in many markets, with previous real estate experience, selling a home on your own is entirely possible; especially if the home is priced right & in great condition.

If you can easily answer these basic questions, you're ready to sell by yourself:

How do I decide on the right price?  How will I find a buyer?  What is a Buyer's Agent?

How should I prepare my home for sale?  How far off asking price should I sell?

What qualifies a buyer?  What will make the sale legal and binding?

What requirements can I make?  What if the Buyer backs out?

What do I pay for?  Who does/pays for inspections and repairs?

SERVICE PROVIDERS While representing marketing and legal contracts yourself; you will need other professionals on this list in the selling process.

QUALIFYING BUYERS  Losing a sale to buyer financing will take your home off the active market for four to six weeks of prime showing/selling time, unfairly increasing your total days on market. Use the attached Lender's guide when evaluating the Buyer's ability to purchase your property BEFORE accepting their contract.

ENFORCEABLE CONTRACTS The standard legal real estate contract is eight pages without amendments, riders or addendum. Although not a comprehensive list, the six essential elements for a valid contract discussed here will help you create a valid document.  (Note: Non-Realtors are prohibited from using SLAR or MAR created/approved documents.)
